The Grevy’s Zebra is currently listed on the IUCN Red List in endangered status. There are less than 3000 remaining in the wild in Kenya and Ethiopia.
The main causes of their decline are associated with habitat loss, drought and poaching for their hides, food and for percieved medicinal usage.
